Rick was born and raised on a central Indiana farm and after graduation from Purdue University worked in the agri-business until 1988. Married to long time sweetheart, Jo, they raise three sons. Then for four years he co-owned and operated two retail sports fans store. They sold these in 1992 and after vacationing in Naples for many years Rick and Jo decided to make it their full time home. With a long time interest in construction and real estate, he decided real estate would be his future.
Rick received his real estate license in 1992 then became a real estate broker in 1997. In 1993, Rick started working for a custom home builder. He worked sales in such notable communities of the Villages of Monterey, the Crossings, Wilshire Lakes, The Strand, Olde Cypress, Marco Island, Quail Woods, and Quail West as well as custom homes on private lots. His son, Mark, and daughter-in-law, Jill, decided move to Naples and Miles Realty of Naples, Inc. was formed in 2002 with Rick, Jo, Mark and Jill. The company managed sales and construction in various communities along with starting to work in general real estate. Miles Realty of Naples, Inc. later was closed and Miles Realty Group, LLC was started by Mark and Jill as owners. Rick then worked for Miles Realty Group, LLC until joining My Florida Real Estate June 1, 2017.
